Mi Udon Goreng Pedas


Our brunch di pagi sabtu ;) Adaptasi dr dapur Secubit Garam. 2-3 minggu lepas popular rempah Cajun ni among blogger masak2. Teringin gak la nak rasa. Puas kita cari, tak jumpa. At last, last week dapat gak beli. Since dlm fridge ada udon (kemalasan nak rebus makaroni & nak cepat pon ye gak) maka I pun cuba pulak goreng udon style K.Nor secubit garam. Sebelum ni pernah buat Mi Udon Goreng Lada Hitam, budak2 tu mmg suka. Betul bagai di kata, goreng macam ni lagi best lah. Buktinya ... 3 paket udon I masak, licin 4 org je makan .. I tambah Cayenne Pepper ... tambah kick la rasanya .. ^_^ Then tabur sket daun ketumbar ... sedap pulak makan bila tergigit daun ketumbar nih!

Adaptasi dr: 
MAKARONI GORENG PEDAS BEREMPAH

Bahan:
2 cawan makaroni ~ I guna Udon
1 kpg dada ayam ~ dipotong kecil
3 ulas bawang putih ~ diketuk dan dicincang
1 labu bawang besar *
1 biji tomato (besar) *
1/2 batang carrot *
1/3 biji capsicum merah *
1/3 biji capsicum hijau * (* dipotong dadu)
1/2 sudu besar serbuk lada hitam
1 sudu besar serbuk cili kasar
1/2 sudu besar cajun - I tambah 1 sudu teh cayenne pepper
2 sudu besar sos cili
1 cawan air rebusan makaroni
1 biji telur ~ dipukul sedikit
garam
sedikit gula
daun sup ~ I ganti daun ketumbar
minyak

Cara:
Rebus makaroni sehingga lembut dan toskan. (Asingkan 1 cawan air rebusan)
Panaskan minyak dan tumis bawang merah dan bawang putih hingga wangi.
Masukkan ayam dan masak hingga isi ayam bertukar warna putih.
Masukkan tomato, carrot, capsicum merah dan hijau dan goreng seketika.
Masukkan pula serbuk lada hitam, serbuk cili kasar, cajun, sos cili, garam dan sedikit gula jika suka.
Masak hingga tumisan berbau wangi dan alihkan bahan2 ketepi kuali dan masukkan telur.
Biarkan telur masak sedikit lepas tu kacau hingga menjadi seperti scramble egg.
Masukkan makaroni dan juga air rebusan tadi (tujuan dimasukkan air adalah utk menghasilkan makaroni yg sedikit basah dan tidak terlalu kering.. boleh skip jika lebih suka makaroni yg kering)
Kacau goreng lagi sekejap dan bolehlah dihidangkan dlm pinggan.
Taburkan daun saderi sebelum dihidangkan.

* Isi ayam boleh digantikan kepada hirisan daging atau daging cincang.

Upside Down Pizza


Pizza? I would rather call this dish instant homemade lasagna ... why? U have to try baking one to find out ... (>_<) Menu for my kids breakfast on thursday (patutnya utk breaskfast hari rabu, but then mummy nya dh kelewatan bangun ... bakar 1/2 way ... xleh tunggu dah ... terus tutup oven, balik keje sambung bakar balik ... haha

Suka sangat resepi ni sebab sekejap je nak prepare ^_^ and yet mmg yummylicious lah! Macam hubby my fren Zuera cakap, I pon rasa this one taste better than lasagna. Resepi simple camni, I'll definitely akan buat lagi & lagi. Mmm ... letak grill terung pon best gak ni. Hari tu sekali hadap dh habis sampai I terpaksa sorok sepotong ni utk sessi kamera I.

Here's the recipe as a guide ... but it's up to your own creativity la nak letak apa ye ...

UPSIDE DOWN PIZZA
Adapted from Food Network

Ingredients:
Bottom Layer
2 teaspoons olive oil
250gm of sausage - sliced
250gm of minced meat
1 cup onion, sliced
8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
1 can of tomato puree
1/2 cup black olives, sliced
1 Red Capsicum - sliced
salt, pepper & sugar

Middle Layer
100 gm mozzarella cheese, grated
250 gm cheddar cheese, grated

Top Layer
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup Mozarella, grated
a bunch of cilantro - minced

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add sausage, minced meat and cook for 3 minutes, or until browned and cooked through, breaking up the meat as it cooks with a wooden spoon.
4. Add onion, red capsicum and mushrooms and cook 2 minutes, until soft. Add tomato puree and olives and bring to a simmer, about 2 minutes. Add salt, pepper & sugar.
5. Remove from heat and transfer sauce to the bottom of a 13 by 9-inch baking dish.
6. Top with mozzarella cheese and cheddar cheese.
7. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk and oil until blended. Whisk in flour and salt until well blended. Pour mixture over sauce in pan.
8. Sprinkle with mozarella and cilantro. Bake 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Pizza Magherita


I saw it at Zarin's .. terliur la pulak bila teringat pizza ni kat Spaghetti Grill. Tu la yg terus rasa nak buat gak. The boys excited menolong I, but theirs dah bukan magherita pizza (topping cuma letak tomato, cheese and basil je) .. nak letak sosej lak. I love the crust, sedap lembut. Anak dah x sabar nak makan, pics tangkap pon nak cepat je ni.

Tapi kan camane eh nak bg crust tu garing brownish sket belah2 tepi & bwhnya tu cam kat kedai? Dah bakar quite lama gak. Nanti kalau lama sgt dry lak topping dia, x syiok la ...

Ok la, here's the pizza dough recipe yg I copy dr Zarin which is actually recipe Tavuklu Pide.
Ingredients
2 cups of flour
2 tsp instant yeast
1/2 tbsp sugar ( i used 1/2 tsp)
1/2 tsp salt
4 tbsp virgin olive oil
3/4 cup luke warm water
4 tbsp tomato puree
shredded mozzarella cheese
dried basil (saya guna mcCormick dried basil) kalau ada fresh basil lagi sedap – fresh basil harus di chopped dulu ye!
method
1. Take 2 tbsp flour, mix with sugar and yeast. Add 1/4 cup of luke warm water and let it stand for 30 minutes.
2. Mix the dry ingredients, then make a hole, pour in the wet ingredients. (saya buat lubang dan masukkan olive oil dan yeast tadi, kemudian saya masukkan air sedikit demi sedikit  dan knead the dough sehingga tidak melekat, kiranya kalau dough tadi tk melekat di tangan and still ada baki air, tak perlu lah di tambah lagi. cukup setakat itu saja ye!) Knead the dough until it no longer stick to your hands.
3. Cover the dough, let it  rise until it double the size.  ( i left it for about 1 hour)
4. using a rolling pin, roll the dough into a round shape. this dough can make 8 inc pizza (if nipis lagi can make 3 pizzas )
5. preheat the oven at 150C ( api atas bawah)
6. Then brush the surface with tomato puree and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese and basil on top of the cheese
7. then bake in the oven for 15 minutes. saya guna bottom fire sahaja (bila masukkan pizza tu saya tukar kepada api bawah sahaja) dan saya letak tray pizza tadi di rack paling bawah sahaja. kalau nak roti tu lagi rangup, lebihkan masa bakar ye!

Banana Chocolate Chiffon Cake


Dah lama tak men'chiffon' kat dapur. Bila nampak kat dapur Tun hari tu tergoda lak nak rasa kek chiffon yg berpisang. Dia pulak mentioned dah buat berkali-kali, mesti best kan. Memang best pon kek ni. Tak percaya? Masuk dapur cuba sendiri ye. Sebab kegebusannya tu x sampai 2 hari dah habis ... walhal kami 2 org je yg makan. Sumber asalnya dr dapur Rima.

Banana Chocolate Chiffon Cake / Kek Chifon Pisang Coklat

Bahan A
20 g serbuk koko - I guna dark choc powder
60 ml air panas
100 g pisang - dilenyek atau kisar halus
35 g minyak masa
1/2 sudu kecil paste coklat - tak de, x letak
75 gm gula caster
5 biji kuning telur

Bahan B
85 g tepung kek
1/2 sudu kecil serbuk kulit kayu manis
1/2 sudu kecil baking powder

Bahan C
5 biji putih telur
1/4 sudu kecil garam halus
75 gm gula caster

Larutkan serbuk koko dgn air panas.
Bancuh bahan A hingga sebati. Masukkan B yang telah di ayak dan gaul hingga sempurna.
Pukul putih telur dan garam di C hingga kembang. Kemudian tambahkan gula castor dan pukul lagi hingga kental dan bertanduk.
Ambil 1/4 bahagian putih telur dan gaulkan dgn adunan kuning telur dan sebatikan hingga rata.
Masukkan semua baki putih telur dan gaulkan lagi adunan hingga rata semuanyer.
Tuangkan adunan ke dalam acuan kek angel pan berdiameter 22 cm. bakar pada suhu 170C selama 70 minit. Ita bakar selama 1 jam suhu 160C mengikut kepanas oven.


Terlebih sket buh pisang aritu, jadi cake turned out gebus sungguh & lembab2 sikit. Jangan risau kalau kek seakan-akan basah diluarnya..Insya-Allah kat dalamnya masak.

Dinner @ Sekinchan Ikan Bakar


Another new spot utk makan ... Once a while for a change boleh la, selalu2 tu xde la nampak gayanya ... leh kering poket hujung bulan nnt sbb I rasa the price boleh tahan mahal lah. Taste wise, boleh tahan but my vote still goes to Muara Ikan Bakar Umbai. Even ikan dia bakar without sambal macam kat Sekinchan ni tapi I rasa lagi sedap .. sbb ke'simple'an & ke'fresh'an ikan tu kot. Nasi lemak best & sambal cicahnya pon best. Itu ... pada tekak I lah ye ;) Btw ... lama sungguh dah x pegi, so x pasti kalau kualiti rasanya dah x maintain.

Hubby & I puasa sunat on the 23rd June hari tu. Tak tau nak berbuka kat mana then teringat plak this ikan bakar place baru buka their new branch dekat Ampang Waterfront ... which is less than 5km away dr rumah we all (>_<). Ambience kat sini menarik, I suka... terasa kehijauan, sejuk mata memandang. While waiting .. my 3 heroes bz melayan si Angry bird.

Jenahak bakar .. First time makan jenahak jenis ni .. sedap jugak!


 Pari bakar ...


 Asparagus bakar. Menu kat sini serba serbi pon bakar kecuali nasi .. sampaikan sayur pun xde yg goreng, bakar jer.


Nasi lemak ... biasa2 ajer ... dah la sejuk kurang lemak pulak, rasa menyesal lak tak ambil nasi biasa.

No Fail Banana Muffin



Pernah nampak Izah buat tapi sebab xde pisang, xde la teruja sangat. Then bila nampak Niey buat terus rasa nak buat sbb bahan utamanya cik pisang dah ada. Kalau teringin, sila la cuba ye, gerenti no fail okeh ^_^. 

NO FAIL BANANA MUFFIN

Ingredients :
·                     1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
·                     1 tsp baking soda
·                     A pinch of salt
·                     1 cup sugar (I letak 1/2 cup)
·                     1/2 cup canola/corn oil
·                     2 eggs
·                     1 cup mashed banana
·                     1 tsp vanilla

Method :
·                     Mix flour, baking soda and salt.
·                     Whisk sugar, oil and eggs until smooth.  Add banana and vanilla, beating well. ** I guna whisk jer
·               Add flour mixture and beat until well combined.
·                     Bake at 180 deg C for 25 mins. ** I baked them at 160 deg C)

Yields : I got 5 pcs for big cupcake casings

Daddy's new toy


My token of appreciation to him on Father's day ... it's nothing compared to what he's done for the family. He preferred this one to IPad. Sehari sebelum tu dah usha. Boleh x .. our 2 boys yg excited terlebih .. masa lunch tu dok pujuk their dad to accept my gift tu. Bila ingat2kan balik, mmg kelakar la ... disebabkan si ayah masih dok berkira-kira nak beli ke x, si abang siap pakat ngan I & adiknya ... dia konon2 nak ajak si ayah pergi tpt lain .. book store ke, so that I can do the shopping tanpa halangan. Macam la org tu x tahu kan .. mcm2 effort they made to distract his attention. Failed to make it a surprise, we shopped for it together at last .. ^_^

To my darling, you complete me ... A million thanks to the love you showered us. I'm thankful to Allah for giving me such a good husband & father to my kids. My doa ... I do hope you'll be a better person each day ... that will lead me & our kids to become better muslim/muslimah ... & lead us to jannah. Ameen ya rabb!

You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours dear (@_@) .. I'm glad, you really like it! Sekarang ke mana-mana berkepit dgn Tab dia aje.
