Cookies & Cream Brownies

Salam Jumaat peeps ... dah 2-3 hari tangan gatal nak baking & makan kek. Berapa kali keluar masuk butter asyik xjadi je nak buat. Semalam lepas dinner nekad nak buat juga sebab dah dekat 2 minggu tengok brownies ni kat blog Shidah, memang terliur betul nak rasa. 

Ooo .. lala ... seriously sedap ... brownies ni memang sangat addictive, non stop rasa nak makan. Tapi sebab portion resepi ni sikit je jadi kedekut la nak makan banyak-banyak at one serving ... hehe ... Luckily I decided to use 3/4 brown sugar & 1/4 cup sugar, so the sweetness tu mmg just nice to my liking.

Silalah buat ye kawan-kawan, surely no regret I tell you ;) For this recipe, I guna 9in x 9in cake tin.

COOKIES & CREAM BROWNIES
Yield: 2 dozen

Cream Cheese Layer: 
250 gram cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Brownie Layer:
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar  1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar  3/4 cup brown sugar/molasess sugar
1/2 cup baking cocoa
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
12 Oreo cookies, crushed
8 Oreo cookies, coarsely chopped


For cream cheese layer:
In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla untilsmooth; set aside.

For brownie layer: 
Combine the butter, sugars andcocoa in a large bowl. Beat in eggs. Combine flour and baking powder; gradually add to cocoa mixture. Stir in crushed cookiecrumbs.Pour into a greased 11-in. x 7-in. baking pan. Spoon cream cheesemixture over batter. Sprinkle with coarsely chopped cookies. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs. Cool completely on a wire rack. Cut into bars. Store in the refrigerator.
