Buat puding ni sehari before 1st ramadhan lagi. Hubby's all time favourite ;) Pantang la dia tau ada, kejap2 asyik buka peti sejuk nak makan. Mula-mula kenal puding karamel ni zaman anak dara, mmg x suka langsung sbb yg I rasa tu jenis spongy, byk pakai telur so agak berbau telur bila makan. Then bila dah kahwin & tahu my hubby suka sangat dgn puding ni. I berusaha la nak buat dessert favourite dia tu so cari la resepi versi mat saleh yg kurang guna telur, boleh join dia makan.
Dulu-dulu guna resepi dr buku Sains Rumah Tangga (SRT) form 3 je. I cuba resepi shared by Mamafami kat fotopages masa dia masih kat Malawi (resepi kawan dia kalau x silap), me & hubby mmg sudah jatuh cinta dgn kesedapannya. Hati tertarik nak cuba sbb resepi ni guna roti & the texture turned out lembut je & sedap sangat. Sejak tu kalau buat puding karamel, mmg stick to this recipe je. My dear husband dah request suh buat lagi ni sbb yang buat baru-baru ni dia x puas makan sbb hafiy dah pandai pulak makan karamel skrg.
NASEEM'S CARAMEL PUDDING

Ingredients :
4 cups milk
1/2 tin condensed milk (** too sweet for me so i guna >< 1/5 tin of 525g je)
2 slices of white bread
3 eggs
vanilla essance
Caramel
3/4 cup sugar
(** I added 3 tbsp water)
Method :
1. Boil the milk.
2. Remove from heat and add bread. Leave to cool.
3. Add condensed milk, eggs and vanilla
4. Put in the blender and liquidise.
5. Make caramel with 3/4 cup sugar.
6. Grease the sides of a pyrex bowl with butter. Pour the caramel into the bowl.
7. Pour the milk mixture and steam for about 15 to 20 minutes.
