♥ Baked Custard


Yang ni pon buat semalam ni... nak menghabis susu 1 liter & thick cream yg dah buka tu, takut rosak lak. Iskk... asyik ternak lemak je, kan. I pulak pakai thick cream ... mmg thick la lemaknya nnt ni. Tapi mmg sedap berlemak2, x kira la makan time dia suam2 kuku or sejuk.  Encik suami suka, ada lg 2 mangkuk dlm fridge. Gerenti lah balik keje kang dia terkam peti sejuk dulu. Best ... Resepi ni pon mudah amat nak membuatnya. Boleh dpt 4 bekas ramekins seperti gambar ni ye utk 1 resepi ni.


BAKED CUSTARD

3 eggs
95g (1/2 cup) soft brown sugar
375ml (1 1/2 cup) milk
125ml (1/2 cup) cream
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
ground nutmeg, for dusting

1. Preheat oven 180C. Brush 4 cups of ovenproof dish with melted butter.
2. Whisk eggs, sugar, milk, cream & vanilla essence in medium bowl for 1 minute.
3. Pour into prepared dish.
4. Place filled dish into a shallow baking dish. Pour enough hot water into baking dish to come halfway up the sides. Place on oven shelf; sprinkle top of custard with nutmeg; bake for 15 mins. Reduce heat to 160C, bake for another 20 mins or until custard is set and a sharp knife comes out clean when inserted. Remove dish from hot water immediately. Serve warm or cold.

Hint: Serve custard on its own or with fresh, poached or canned fruit.
