Dulce De Leche Brownies


 Lalala ... here's my Dulce de Leche brownies ;) Buat hari Khamis aritu. I like! Nasihat I, kalau suka caramel ... masa membuat tu jangan kedekut letak dulce ni... nnt x puas makan, tercari2 jer mana si dulce ni nyorok. I pun kes kedekut gak ... hihi, malas nak buat lain, nak simpan utk Dulce Pound Cake nnt. Before buat brownies ni, pening kepala nak decide nak wat Brownies ke .. kek. Thanks to Ayu S'pore yg sudi layan pertanyaan I & helped me to make a decision. Alhamdulillah ... I'm satisfied ^_^

Slow sket lak sambutan brownies ni kat  rumah, maybe sebab off late asyik baking kek jer ... anak2 & hubby pun jemu makan. Yang depa dok layan si Dadih kat bawah nun. Ye la, cuaca pun walaupun ada hujan, tapi panas berbahang gak. Tu yang syok layan yg dingin-dingin kan.

Note dr. Ayu:
The sugar amount please adjust - as different individuals preferred different sweetness ya..For me ok maybe not for others..hehe so please adjust to your own discreation.


Dulce de Leche Brownies
Adapted from The Sweet Life in Paris (Broadway Books) David Lebovitz

 Ingredients:
8 tablespoons salted or unsalted butter, cut into pieces-(Ayu used 115g)
6 ounces semisweet chocolate, finely chopped-(Ayu used 180g)
1/4 cup unsweetened Dutch-process cocoa powder-(25g)
3 large eggs
1 cup sugar-(225g- Ayu used 90-100g)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup  flour-(110g)
optional: 1 cup toasted pecans or walnuts, coarsely chopped-(Ayu didnt put this)
1 cup Dulce de Leche-(Ayu used 1 can dulce de leche)-or up to taste

Cooking Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.(170c)
Line a 8-inch square baking dish with a sheet aluminum foil that covers the bottom  up over the sides. If it doesn’t reach all the way up and over all four sides, cross another sheet of foil over it, making a large cross with edges that overhang the sides. Spray the bottom and sides of the foil with cooking spray.
In a saucepan melt butter, add the semi-sweet chocolate, stirring constantly over very low heat until the chocolate is melted. Remove from heat and whisk(Ayu used electric hand mixer) in the cocoa powder until smooth. Add in eggs one at a time, then stir in the sugar, vanilla, then the flour and nuts if using.

 Pour half of the batter into baking dish.  Spoon one-third of the Dulce de Leche, over the brownie batter evenly in dollops, then drag a knife or spatula through and swirl. Pour the remaining brownie batter over, then spoon the remaining Dulce de Leche in dollops over the top of the brownie batter. Use a knife or spatula to swirl the Dulce de Leche creating a marbled effect.

 Bake for 35 to 45 minutes. The brownies center will be slightly firm when they are done. Remove from the oven and allow cool completely.

  2. Assalam ain, dah buat dah ya brownies ni..
    betul tu kadang2 kalau kita dah selalu baking anak2 naik muak juga..kadang2 benda sedap pun dia orang tak nak..hehe..sekali2 gitu baru dia terkam..hehe..anyway thanks sudi cuba ya ain..
    i really hope ia kena dengan selera ain..

  3. wahhhh...brownies best ni..ada rasa karemel cam liat2 gitu ke?ishh nak membuat dulce ni yang leceh ni..tapi seumur hidup kena gakkan try sekali...

  5. wahhh..same je menu ngan kak ayu singapore ekk...kak ayu pun dulce de leche jugak..hehehe..jeles lak rasa..eina xde pressure coker nak buat de leche tu..ade cara lain x nak buat..terliur dah ni..

    mmg best, esp bila gigit itu dulce. lupakan sekejap ler sugar intake tu kan.

    kak.. no worries, mmg kena dgn selera saya sgt2. cuma next round buat lg nk reduce sket lg castor sugar tu & nak buh dulce lebih sket.

    Izah:
    best. mmg rasa karamel tp x liat mcm dlm coklat Snickers tu tau, teksturnya lembut cam kaya. kalau xde pressure cooker, buat mcm akak, rebus 3 jam. kalau x boleh ikut cara lizahanum ... bakar dlm oven 1 jam je.

    u dulu mmg amik acara lari2 ke kat sekolah dear? hihii... tp kan, rugi woo kalau u x cuba brownies ni. At least once ;)

    baru je I letak, cara I prepare dulce. Kalau nk yg pantas.. ikut cara lizahanum ye ;) Makan dgn roti pon syok tau dulce ni.
